Having recently moved my studio to Haliburton Ontario Canada I get to enjoy a beautiful sunrise quite often. This image features a clear quite morning with subdued light but I beautiful sunrise of red and purple hues. One of the things I love about shooting digital is that sees colors that I can barely detect with my eye, but I certainly feel. The Haliburton pond and forest was still quite dark, like in this morning fog image. The deep red was obvious, but the hues of blue and purple really become evident in the digital darkroom. When I am creating the final image of the beautiful sunrise, I try and recreate how I felt standing in front of this beautiful quite scenery. Although not listed as one of the top locations for Ontario Sunrises, I feel the Haliburton Highlands should certainly be given consideration.
