Panorama Londonderry Northern Ireland

Panorama Derry (Londonderry) Northern Ireland the center of the 1972 Massacre Sunday bloody Sunday. Bloody Sunday was a catalyst event in Northern Ireland’s conflict, resulting in many radicalized Catholics entering the ranks of the outlawed IRA.

Up until the 1998 Northern Ireland peace accord, the area viewed here was described as one of the most militarized zones in Europe. Although a peaceful town today, the emotions run deep according to a local resident that was more than willing to give us a detailed description of the events as we stood at ground zero of the conflict.

We visited the memorial museum now open in Derry and it was well worth the visit.
