Trinity college library bookshelf

The Long Room and the Book of Kells at Trinity College

This old library detail photograph is from the Long Room of the Old Library at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. It houses 200,000 of Trinity College’s earliest books. What a stunning location! The book of Kells Exhibition and the Old Library is a must-visit for any photographers and Harry Potter fans!

I used my Sony 24-70mm wide-angle lens, and as no full-sized tripods allowed I put my Platapod to use. Another tip is to book in advance to get in at the opening and rush to the library straight away to avoid crowds.

Gear: Sony ILCE-7RM3, Sony FE 24-70mm f2.8 GM lens.
