Mac’s place is an old abandoned wood home that I found why wondering in Southern Georgia. I love the character of this old abandoned building which I turned into this black and white photograph. As a touch of uniqueness, I left the lettering of the sign ‘Mac’s Place’ in slightly washed out red lettering. As you are exploring the back roads of rural Georgia, it feels like no matter where you look you find a piece of history. What was Mac’s Place? Why have a sign? Was it a restaurant that locals frequented many many years ago. These are the questions that for me resonate when viewing an image such as this abandoned home.
